
On August 27, 2015, at 3:45 PM, the 2nd Army Region page reported that a soldier stepped on a PMN-2 landmine while patrolling our operational area in the area to the right of Prasat Ta Kwai. This resulted in three injuries:
1. Private Adison Pomklang, assigned to the 23rd Infantry Regiment, 1st Battalion, suffered a severance of his right lower leg.
2. Sergeant Major Natthaphong Sichin, assigned to the 2nd Company, Field Regiment, 221st Infantry Regiment, 3rd Regiment, suffered a minor shrapnel wound to his back.
3. Private Thanonthorn Thaokratok, assigned to the 1st Company, Field Regiment, 221st Infantry Regiment, 3rd Regiment, sustained a minor injury to his left wrist.
Initially, local units provided assistance to the injured soldier and transported him to the hospital for treatment.
